Professor Ivana Milanovic received the 2026 ASME Ben C. Sparks Medal at the ASME Mechanical Engineering Education Conference (MEEd), a leading international forum focused on innovation and challenges in the field, held March 29–31 in Arlington, Virginia.
The Ben C. Sparks Medal recognizes outstanding contributions to mechanical engineering education. Milanovic was cited for her work in advancing simulation-integrated engineering curricula and preparing students for modern engineering practice.
The award was formally presented during the conference’s awards session on March 31, where she also delivered a brief invited presentation on her work.
