Visit the Hartford Art School

Visit us and see what sets the Hartford Art School and the University of Hartford apart.

Appointments are scheduled Monday through Friday during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and during University Preview Days and Art School open houses. Give us a call for details or to arrange an appointment and/or an overnight visit.

We highly recommend an overnight visit during our spring semester. The Art School provides tours of HAS facilities only; the University’s Office of Admission arranges tours of the main campus and dormitories. Schedule your Art School tour first and then we will help coordinate the campus tour.

Open House Info

For prospective applicants and their families, the University of Hartford offers Preview Days in the fall. Additionally, every spring the Hartford Art School hosts a weekday Open House for accepted students and their families in advance of the May 1 deposit deadline. The day includes a short art history lesson, studio demonstrations, a lunch to mingle with students, faculty and staff, and a chance to hear from alumni how HAS has prepared them for the future and their professional careers.

The University of Hartford also holds weekend Spring Receptions for accepted students. It’s another opportunity to get to know the Hartford Art School, and to learn how it facilitates educational and artistic needs.
