Off-Campus Trips

The Kinderplace and Li’l Place camp experience extends beyond the boundaries of campus. Each session includes real world, hands-on fun and learning to complement the exciting activities happening in the classrooms.

During a typical session at Kinderplace, campers get the chance to partake in stimulating educational adventures such as hayrides at a local 4-H farm, climbing aboard a clipper ship at Kid City, or flying to Mars at The Children’s Museum. Kinderplace and Li’l Place campers also will go for storytime at UHart's on-campus library. Transportation for all off-campus trips is provided by the University of Hartford’s shuttle bus. All field trips will occur based on discretion of health and safety regulations at the time of camp. In addition, a variety of on-campus field trips are scheduled each session. Whether it’s going to Auerbach Theater for the final performance by Summer Place campers in the acting class or visiting the Pet Patrol or Animal Ambassadors classes, each unique adventure adds to the overall camp experience!
