International Students

We are excited to welcome you to UHart! Orientation is on Jan. 17, 9 a.m–2 p.m. in Gengras Student Union. It is mandatory for all international students, including members of the Pathway program, the English Language Institute, and graduate international students. Please reach out to the International Center if you have questions. 

What to expect?

During Orientation, you will receive information on immigration regulations and complete the mandatory SEVIS check-in. You will also learn about adjusting to life in the US and the American classroom, as well as academic advising and finalizing course registration for your first semester. Be sure to bring your passport and visa information. 

On Jan. 21, you also have the option to participate in Orientation for all incoming students and learn about how you can get involved in the campus community.

English Language Institute Testing and Orientation

In addittion to international Orientation on Jan. 17, you should plan on attending the following two events: 

  • Placement test on Saturday, Jan 18, at 9:30 a.m.

  • Orientation for English Language Institute on Wednesday, Jan 22 at 9:30 a.m.
