Teaching Focus: Director of Clinical Education Lucy Richard teaches radiographic positioning, anatomy, and patient care in the radiography program. Richard incorporates a wide range of active learning techniques in her classroom, where students engage in hands-on application of radiographic imaging techniques. In the energized x-ray lab and at clinical sites, Richard challenges students and assists them in the development of superb clinical skills that directly improve patient care.
Professional Interests: Richard has more than 40 years of clinical experience in clinical radiography and medical image instruction. Her current research interests include video-supported student self-assessment of simulated radiographic positioning, radiography-related issues with elder care, and methods of improving patient care in radiography.
