Scott Veilleux

It has been an incredible journey and learning experience thanks to the Barney School of Business professors. They have challenged me inside and outside of the classroom to take advantage of every opportunity I can. In addition, many of the professors have been great mentors for my leadership development. I've been able to develop great relationships with other students as well—there's a strong sense of community at the University of Hartford. It has made my college experience so much more enjoyable.

I'm very fortunate to have been recognized for all of my hard work at the University. I feel as though I am appreciated for the positive attitude and intellectual curiosity I bring into the classroom every day. Some of my greatest accomplishments have been being inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, receiving the Junior Regents' Honors Award, and being selected as the runner up for the Martin and Bills Scholarship to study at Oxford University.

Thanks to connections I made at UHart, I interned at The Hartford this past summer in their complex claims division. In addition, after I graduate I will be working full-time at Aetna as a part of their Finance Leadership Development Program.

These scholarships have motivated me to do well in my career so that I may give back to students in the future. The Barney School is like a second home to me and I am so fortunate to be a part of the business school. I can assure you that your donations couldn't have gone to a better place.
