March on Washington Campus Event This Friday

This Friday, Aug. 28, our UHart student leaders will host a March on Washington event.

The event includes a viewing of the live Washington, D.C. gathering and a powerful march throughout campus. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to participate. The schedule is outlined below.

Schedule

• 10:30 a.m. – Registration opens outside of Gengras. Spaces are limited!
• 11:00 a.m. – Report to your assigned viewing location for the simulcast of the live event in DC
• 1:00 p.m. – March kickoff on Gengras green
• 1:05 p.m. – March begins throughout campus
• 2:00 p.m. – Closing remarks and reflections in F lot
• 3:00 p.m. – Event Concludes

Please note: Social distancing guidelines will be enforced, and masks are required. Water will be provided. This event is only open to the internal UHart community.

 

Two sign-making workshops will also take place prior to the event:

• Wednesday, August 26: 12:30–2:30 p.m. in Gengras Café
• Thursday, August 27: 12:30–2:30 p.m. in Alumni Plaza
