Lisa Tutty Joins Public Safety as Investigative Lead

The Department of Public Safety is pleased to announce that Lisa Tutty has joined the department as Investigative Lead.  

Lisa comes to the University of Hartford with an impressive set of law enforcement credentials. Lisa joins us from Quinnipiac University, where she served as Lead Campus Investigator, Title IX Investigator, and Clery Compliance Officer. Prior to Quinnipiac, she spent 29 years with the FBI, in the Boston, Newark, and New Haven Field Offices. She was assigned to various inter-agency task forces and was the field liaison to the Behavioral Threat Assessment Unit.

In her field assignments, Lisa worked narcotics, gang, racketeering, and terrorism caseloads. Her experience included oversight and investigations in the areas of stalking, hate crimes, domestic terrorism, cyber-threats, and the exploitation of children. She also functioned as the Division Coordinator for Crimes Against Children and Division Coordinator for Violence Against Women. 

Prior to the FBI, Lisa was with the Boston Police Department, as Director of the Research and Analysis Unit, and started her career as a Crime Analyst on that force. Lisa is a graduate of the FBI Academy and of Wellesley College, where she earned a BA in Political Science.  She began her law enforcement career as a dispatcher for the Wellesley College Police Department.
