HBJ Names Four UHart Alums and One Employee to 40 Under Forty List
The Hartford Business Journal has named four UHart alums and one employee to its “40 Under Forty of 2021” list. These awards recognize outstanding young professionals in the greater Hartford area who are excelling in their industries through their leadership roles. They are driven by success, motivated by challenges, and are role models for their peers.
Congratulations to the following UHart-affiliated young professionals among this year's honorees:
Emmanuel “Manny” Sanchez
Sanchez is a senior development officer for the University of Hartford, working with the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture and Hillyer College on fundraising and alumni engagement efforts. He is also a Connecticut State Representative in the 24th Assembly District.

Crystal Gonzalez M ‘18, Barney School of Business
Gonzalez, who earned her MBA from the Barney School, is vice president, small commercial for Arch Insurance Group, Inc. Crystal is also the board president for Prospanica Connecticut and serves on the advisory council for Connecticut College’s Hale Center for Career Development.

Karishma Pinto ’17, M’18, College of Arts and Sciences
Pinto, who has undergrad degrees in Communication from the College of Arts and Sciences, is a web and marketing Associate for the Connecticut Convergence Institute for Translation in Regenerative Engineering at UConn Health. She also works as game-day production staff at the Hartford Yard Goats.

Christopher Troxell M ’11, Barney School of Business
Troxell earned his MSAT/Financial-Assurance Services from Barney. He is senior vice president, general auditor for Liberty Bank.

Justin Wilcox M ’14, Barney School of Business
Wilcox, who has an MSAT in taxation from the Barney School, is the youngest partner at Fiondella, Milone & LaSaracina LLP, one of the largest accounting firms in Connecticut. He heads the firm’s cryptocurrency accounting practice.

The honorees will be recognized during an annual 40 Under Forty celebration event this Thursday, Sept. 16, at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford.
