 David Michaud

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of David Michaud. David passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 14, after a valiant fight against cancer.

Although David was with the University for only a short time, he had a significant impact on the Bursar's office. David had a great sense of humor, and would go out of his way to help anyone who needed it, whether it be in the Bursar's office, a student, or anyone else at the University. He was always learning and looking for new ways to help out. Although he was only with the University since January, he will be greatly missed.

Outside of the University, David was a volunteer firefighter in Prospect for over 24 years; the loving husband of Cher Michaud, and the father of David, Arlena, and Ethan. Both Arlena and Ethan served with him as firefighters.

David's family asks in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Michaud Children Scholarship Fund through the Prospect Branch of Webster Bank. A memorial service with Firefighter Honor Guard and Department of Corrections Honor Guard will be held tomorrow, Saturday, September 18, at noon, at the Prospect Memorial/Palmerie Family Funeral Home.
