Ryan Speedo Green '08 recently won his third Grammy at the 2024 award ceremony. His lead role in Terence Blanchard's Champion won Best Opera Recording.
Green shared the news on social media, saying "I woke up today incredibly grateful for the opportunities music has given me throughout my life."
Last year, Green was named the winner of the 2023 Beverly Sills Artist Award by The Metropolitan Opera. The Beverly Sills Artist Award is given to exceptional rising singers at the Met. This is the second time he has received this honor.
After earning his bachelor’s degree in music at Hartt, Green went on to win numerous singing competitions, eventually becoming an international opera star with numerous credits to his name. He received his second Grammy Award this last February.
