Campus Life & Events
Connections outside of the classroom—with friends, roommates, colleagues, classmates, clubs and organizations—are all an important part of the overall UHart experience.
Life on Campus
Our student life and success teams continue to develop new and exciting ways to enable you to safely engage and interact with one another.
Clubs and Organizations
Some club meetings and activities can happen in person when it is possible to follow social distancing and other safety guidelines. Other meetings and activities will be virtual. The Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion will work with club and other student leaders on their plans. When meeting in person, students will need to follow strict guidelines. Please see the policy for more specific information about reserving space, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
Our clubs and organizations, along with the Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion, are hosting dozens of events this spring, including Trivia Tuesdays, Wellness Wednesdays, Friday Flicks, and more. There is something for everyone! Check out UHart Hub for schedules and details.
The Sports Center is open for the spring semester. This semester's hours are 8 a.m.–9 p.m.
Please follow these important health guidelines in the Sports Center:
- Upon entry, you must show your ID, the green check mark from your LiveSafe Health Screening, and get your temperature scanned at the front desk.
- Masks must be worn at all times.
- Sanitize all equipment after use.
- Maintain Social Distancing.
- Follow signage and traffic patterns.
Club Sports, Intramurals, and SGA Performance Groups
To keep our students healthy and safe, club sports, intramurals, and SGA performance groups will not be able to practice, compete, or perform.
Members may still gather for meetings by following the guidance found here. Clubs that have traditionally held in-person practices/rehearsals should contact the Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion at email@example.com for consideration and potential approval of in-person events. Each request will be handled on a case-by-case basis and will depend on the nature of the activity.
The University will not be hosting public events for the foreseeable future.
Most events will be virtual, but there are some events that can be outdoors, if social distancing is possible and crowd size limits are followed. Attendance and participation in events will be limited to members of the UHart community.
Admission Events and Campus Tours
We know it is is important for families to visit campus before students officially commit to attend. Following the guidelines from our governor and the CDC, we offering mainly outdoor walking tours, and are limiting the number of guests, practicing social distancing, and requiring everyone to wear masks at all times.
