Honorary Organizations Listings

Since 1922, Alpha Chi has promoted academic excellence and exemplary character among college students. Juniors and seniors (54+ credits) who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and are ranked in the top 10% of upperclassmen are eligible for induction into this prestigious honor society.

Why you should join this organization?
Eligible students will be invited to join during the spring of their junior or senior year.

Alpha Lambda Delta, founded in 1924, celebrates academic excellence during a student's first year at college. Students must be registered for a full course of study for a bachelor's degree, have a GPA of 3.65+, and rank in the top 20% of their freshman class.

Eligible students will be invited to join this honor society during the spring of their first-year.

The Mu Chi Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi is at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut. The organization is devoted to the mission of Beta Alpha Psi to recognize and encourage scholastic and professional excellence in business.

Why you should join this organization?
We seek to recognize and honor the top students in Accounting and Finance at the University of Hartford Barney School of Business.

The Mission of the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to foster personal and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.

Lambda Pi Eta (LPE) is the official honor society of the National Communication Association. The University of Hartford chapter, Alpha Beta, was established to foster and reward student excellence in the study of communication. LPE accepts students on an invitation only basis.

Why you should join this organization?
LPE offers great networking opportunities and lifelong connections. LPE holds their annual communication alumni mixer where professionals from various fields come and speak to members, offering insights and employment opportunities.

At the University of Hartford, our purpose is to become the organization of choice for students interested in risk management, insurance, and actuarial science while furthering member’s personal development through guest speakers, civic involvement, and networking opportunities with the greater Hartford business community with the primary end result of career placement in any of the above fields.

Why you should join this organization?
Open to all Undergrad majors of the University of Hartford and all Barney School of Business Graduate students.

The University of Hartford is home to the Psi Phi chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society. Membership is open to declared English majors who meet high standards in terms of their classroom performance and their academic integrity.

Why you should join this organization?
The Psi Phi chapter sponsors an annual lecture, performs community service, and offers English major’s various social opportunities during the school year.

Gamma Nu chapter of Tau Sigma Delta, national architecture and allied arts honor society. Eligible students will be invited to join this honor society.

Iota Epsilon Chapter of Eta Kappu Nu, national electrical engineering honor society.

Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, national engineering honor society. Eligible students will be invited to join this honor society.

Lambda Epsilon Chapter of Tau Alpha Pi, national engineering technology honor society. Eligible students will be invited to join this honor society

Delta Eta Chapter of Pi Tau Sigma, national mechanical engineering honor society. Eligible students will be invited to join this honor society.

The Sigma Alpha Pi Club has been established to create a support group that will help college students achieve their goals and better their lives, in the process building leaders who make a better world.
