Center for Social Research

The University of Hartford’s Center for Social Research (CSR) is located within the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice, and is known for its interdisciplinary research expertise. Sociology, criminal justice, and psychology students are given opportunities to work alongside the CSR team to conduct interdisciplinary research.

Services

Research Team

Through interviews, focus groups, and the use of quantitative research, the CSR seeks to understand the population receiving program services and promotes having an open dialogue with advocates, board members, and program staff about its research projects.

Background

The Center for Social Research (CSR) is a research entity of the University of Hartford. It has been in operation since 1975. Its work focuses on human service program development and assessment, particularly programs targeting socially and economically marginalized populations.
